There are a number of ways to membership at Lothlórien. The best way is to come down in person (to 244 West Lakelawn Place, Madison, WI) and have dinner with the house (Daily at 6 p.m.). Having a meal with us will give you an opportunity to meet the elves, and for the elves to meet you. Even better, you get to try our vegetarian/vegan cooking -- for free.

After two more dinners, you are eligible for a membership meeting. To schedule such a meeting, talk to one of our friendly neighborhood membership coordinators. They will suggest times to have the meeting, based on availability, and once a time has been chosen, you may construct a membership meeting poster announcing these basic things: 1) the membership meeting, 2) your name, 3) the day/time of the meeting, and 4) any other information you think would be helpful for motivating people to come. This poster must be placed on the membership bulletin board no less than 48 hours before the scheduled meeting time (this gives everyone time to see it, and for the membership coordinators to spread the word about the meeting). Also, to be sure you are serious about membershipping, read over our house policies.

If you cannot make it in person...

...you may membership over the phone. However, just to remind: if you can make it for at least a brief tour and meeting, your chances at being accepted will be higher than if you just membership over the phone. Nevertheless, do not fear using this option...the house tends to be understanding of the circumstances of time and distance, particularly for seasonal members. To schedule a phone membership meeting, call 608-256-6080 and leave a message with your name, phone number, and desired term for membership.
